Peshmerga front line positions continue to be threatened by Ansar al-Islam. Following US tomahawk missile attacks last night, the Islamic extremist group Ansar al-Islam killed three Kurdish peshmerga fighters, Australian journalist Paul Moran who was working for ABC, and wounding many more, when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb at a checkpoint. Until yesterday the checkpoint had been under the control of Komala Islami Kurdistan.
