The Kuwaiti Red Crescent delivers humanitarian food aid to the people of the southern Iraqi town Safwan. This area of Iraq is a traditionally predominantly Shiite region, and since the beginning of the war, this region had little fresh water or food. As "Coalition" Forces sped through Southern Iraq, leaving almost no presence behind as they advanced, one often heard Iraqis in this region vehemently complain, "where is the food, and water, and aid that was promised us?"
