Left: Fee Waybill, lead singer of The Tubes, onstage at the Bottom Line, 1975. Effects, costumes, and dancers have helped make The Tubes one of the most visual bands. "Quay Lude" is Waybill's impersonation of a glam rock star, and he's portrayed sadists complete with leather helmet onstage.
