RAFAH, GAZA STRIP, July 22, 2006: Maryam Al Khader clowns around in front of a blackboard on which her family, 10 of whom now call this classroom home, has drawn a picture of the Gaza Strip's Rafah Airport that was once their neighbor. Hundreds of Palestinians, mostly Palestinian Bedouins, have fled their homes as the Israeli incursion has pressed into the area around the airport. They are now being housed in a U.N.-funded elementary school in Rafah, and as the conflict shows no signs of lessening, the U.N. is looking for new places to house them.
