July 2, 1999 - Serbs crossing a
bridge in Mitrovica dodge flying
cans, foreground, and other
missiles thrown by ethnic
Albanians. Serbs on the north side
of the bridge in Mitrovica refuse to
allow Albanians back to their homes
and have beaten some who have
crossed over, causing tension
among the two groups. 


 
July 2, 1999 - A French KFOR
soldier tries to arrest a young ethnic
Albanain boy who was throwing
missiles at Serbs crossing policemen
a bridge in Mitrovica. Serbs on the
north side of the bridge in Mitrovica
refuse to allow Albanians back to their
homes and have beaten some who have
crossed over. French KFOR troops and
police are now keeping the two groups
separate.
